ABSTRACT
The author’s focus has been put on actualizing or completing Alvar’s old articule about the twin arabic words alajú /alfajor, still alive in Spain and America. The author’s main contribution shows the mistaken limits Alvar gave to those words in several regions, specially in Murcia, La Mancha and Andalucía. It is quoted an interesting and rare text from Dr. Thebussem on the words alajú / alfajor.
